Delete Your Account

You can delete your BuddyMe account at any time. This page explains how to do it and what happens to your data.

1. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account directly in the BuddyMe app:

  1. Open the BuddyMe app and go to your Profile
  2. Tap "Privacy"
  3. Scroll down to "Your Data"
  4. Tap "Delete my account"
  5. Type DELETE and confirm

2. What Happens After Deletion

After you confirm the deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period. During this time, your profile is no longer visible to other users. After 30 days, all your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers.

3. What Gets Deleted

The following data is permanently deleted after the 30-day grace period:

  • Your profile (name, bio, interests)
  • Your profile photos
  • All your signals ("Open for..." posts)
  • All your matches and match requests
  • All your chat messages
  • Your trust score and verification data

4. How to Cancel a Pending Deletion

Changed your mind? Log back in to your account within the 30-day grace period and tap 'Cancel deletion'. Your account will be restored.

5. Alternative: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can also request account deletion by emailing us at . Please include the email address associated with your BuddyMe account so we can identify it.
